For true horror fans, these villains never left, but for the general populous riding the wave of spooky slasher movies, we're ready to flood our subconscious with scary tropes of yore. Epic chase scenes, jump scares, and voluptuous blonde protagonists (who are simultaneously completely useless in a fight, while also somehow surviving every battle) are just a few of the horror movie classic we want to see this October. Perhaps the ghouls, goons, and goblins that plague our nightmares are also the characters we want to see on the big screen, chasing around some raunchy teenagers and picking them off one by one. Serves them right, because we all know that if we were in a spooky situation, trapped in a dank room full of chains and hooks, we'd certainly survive and perhaps even be the epic, celebrated, and legendary… Final Girl.
